Three drug dealers arrested in Dalmatia: more than 670 grammes of cocaine and almost 100 grammes of amphetamine seized
On Thursday, police officers from Split conducted two separate operations targeting the trade in banned substances. The operations were carried out in Makarska and Omiš, and resulted in the arrest of three people and the seizure of significant quantities of drugs.
The first raid took place in Makarska, where officers stopped two men, aged 25 and 29. On the younger of the two, they first found two grammes of white powder suspected to be cocaine, which was allegedly intended to be handed over to a buyer. This was followed by a search of the flat which the suspects shared. In it, investigators discovered a considerably larger quantity – a total of 672.7 grammes of the same substance. In addition, a mobile phone and cash in the amount of 530 euros were seized. According to police claims, the two men obtained the drug on the black market, then divided it into smaller packages and test tubes and sold it to clients in Makarska and the surrounding area.
On the same day, but in the Omiš area, police arrested a 32-year-old man. On him, they first found 2.8 grammes of amphetamine. In a subsequent search of his home, two more bags were discovered which together contained 97.16 grammes of the same substance. A digital scale on which traces of drug were observed was also seized.
After criminal investigation measures were carried out, all three were taken into custody.
