Split traffic police stopped a vehicle driven by a twenty-three-year-old man. An official dog indicated drugs, and a search revealed a package containing more than a kilogram of cocaine hidden in an airbag.

A twenty-three-year-old man ended up in police custody after traffic police stopped him in the Dugopolje area. Officials from the Drug Crime Service completed an investigation against him on suspicion of engaging in illicit drug trafficking.
The incident occurred on Wednesday evening. Police officers from Split stopped the vehicle driven by the young man. As they had grounds for suspicion, they brought a handler with an official dog to the scene.
The four-legged inspector quickly indicated the vehicle. During a search, officers discovered a bag in the compartment intended for the airbag in front of the passenger seat. The package, wrapped in black tape, contained 1121 grams of cocaine.
Police arrested the suspect and took him for questioning. His personal mobile phone and cash were seized. According to estimates, the street value of the seized substance exceeds 100,000 euros.
After the completion of the criminal investigation, the young man was handed over to the custody supervisor with an appropriate criminal report.
