Man arrested at post office in Dubravi: ordered 100 kg of amphetamine precursor from China
Zagreb police arrested a 32-year-old man at a post office in Dubravi while collecting five packages containing over 100 kilograms of chemical precursors for drug production.

According to a report from Večernji list, police officers arrested a 32-year-old man on Tuesday afternoon at a post office branch in the Zagreb district of Dubravi at the moment he was collecting five packages that had arrived from China.
The consignment contained 100.21 kilograms of BMK — a chemical precursor used in the production of amphetamine and methamphetamine. Investigators suspect the accused ordered the substance via an internet website with the intention of manufacturing and reselling drugs.
The Zagreb Police Directorate states that the criminal investigation was conducted in coordination with the Drug Crime Service of the Police Directorate, with the support of the Customs Administration of the Ministry of Finance and Croatian Post. The sender from China divided the total quantity into five separate packages, which the accused collected on 1 September in the afternoon — but instead of leaving the post office, he was met by police officers.
During the criminal investigation, police found on the 32-year-old a clear bag containing green plant material with characteristic appearance and smell of cannabis, with a total weight of approximately 3.8 grams.
Following completion of the investigation, the accused was handed over to the detention supervision officer within the legal deadline. A criminal report was submitted to the Municipal Criminal State Attorney's Office in Zagreb on suspicion of unauthorised production and trafficking of drugs. Regarding the possession of cannabis, a motion for charges for a misdemeanour under the Law on Prevention of Drug Abuse was also submitted to the competent court.
