Varaždin: Young man sold drugs to children on 41 occasions, girlfriend dealt MDMA at school
A 20-year-old man and two 19-year-old women from Varaždin County are under investigation for selling MDMA, amphetamine and LSD to pupils. The young man has been remanded in custody.

As reported by Index.hr, the County State Attorney's Office in Varaždin has opened an investigation against a 20-year-old man and two 19-year-old women from Varaždin County on suspicion of unlicenced manufacture and trafficking of drugs, and enabling drug use.
The 20-year-old is suspected of acquiring MDMA, amphetamine, LSD, marijuana and hallucinogenic mushrooms from May 2023 to 13 May 2026, and selling or offering them on at least 41 occasions to children and adults of legal age. Quantities ranged from 0.5 to 50 grammes, and prices from 5 to 400 euros.
According to the State Attorney's Office, part of the sales took place at school and in places intended for education, sport and social activities for children, as well as in the immediate vicinity of such locations. In late 2024, the same suspect handed over marijuana for consumption to another person near an elementary school in Varaždin.
One of the 19-year-old women is suspected of handing over two MDMA tablets on three occasions to two pupils in a secondary school classroom in Varaždin in October and November 2025, following prior arrangement with the 20-year-old, at a price of 10 euros per tablet.
The same woman is also charged with possessing 6,330 euros, which is suspected to derive from drug sales, during the period from the beginning of 2025 to 13 May 2026. The prosecution states that personal identity cards and bank cards belonging to persons who owed the 20-year-old money for drugs were found in her possession — according to the State Attorney's Office, the documents served as a guarantee for payment of debt.
The second 19-year-old woman is suspected of enabling a child and the 20-year-old to consume marijuana on 27 July 2025.
Following questioning of the suspects, the investigating judge ordered remand in custody for the 20-year-old due to the danger of influence on witnesses and repetition of criminal offences. One of the 19-year-old women was issued precautionary measures — a prohibition on approaching and making contact with a specific person.
