CCTV footage shows four suspects accused of extortion and arson attempting to evade police by descending from the third floor of a residential building using bedsheets. Before officers could approach them, they tied sheets together, threw them over a balcony railing and began climbing down.
According to 24sata, a man went first, followed by a woman. When she reached the ground, she caught a dog in mid-air that someone had thrown down from the balcony. The third man went last, but the fabric could not support his weight and he fell to the ground.
Police suspect this group of four threatened a 63-year-old man and demanded millions of euros in digital currency from him. When the victim refused to comply, two younger members of the group allegedly doused a Lamborghini vehicle with flammable liquid in the late evening hours in Velika Gorica and set it alight. The flames spread to five more cars, damaging the facade and windows of seven apartments. The estimated damage is at least 1.2 million euros. All suspects are now in custody.
