According to the official FAd'H note referenced GQG/NO: N-005-26, the incident took place on the evening of Tuesday 22 September, around 20:30. The soldier allegedly killed his ex-partner before fleeing the scene. He subsequently turned himself in to military authorities, who proceeded to arrest and incarcerate him.

Immediate dismissal and handover to the PNH
In accordance with military regulations, the soldier has been dismissed from the ranks of the FAd'H before being handed over to the Haitian National Police (PNH), and subsequently referred to the competent judicial authorities for legal proceedings.

In its statement, the General Headquarters extends its condolences to the family and loved ones of the victim, and assures that it will cooperate with the competent authorities so that the judicial procedure may proceed.
