A 33-year-old homeless man broke into an entertainment venue in Pásztó on 14 June in the early morning hours through an open casement window in the toilet, from which he stole valuable alcoholic beverages and cash. Investigators identified and apprehended him within a short time.

A 33-year-old homeless man entered a catering establishment in Pásztó on 14 June in the early morning hours through an open casement window in the toilet, from which he stole premium alcohol and loose change – according to a Police.hu report.
The perpetrator pushed a larger storage container under the window, climbed onto it, then forced the lock on the window to gain entry to the building. During the quiet night hours, he took valuable spirits and money from the till before leaving.
Investigators at Pásztó Police Headquarters quickly identified the man on the basis of the gathered data, who had previously been in conflict with the law on several occasions. Officers apprehended him within a short time, questioned him, and placed him in custody. The court ordered his remand in custody.
The authorities are also investigating whether the suspect may be connected to other property crimes or offences committed in the area previously.
