The Miskolc District Court ordered the detention of defendants accused by law enforcement of sexual offences and possession of prohibited recordings – according to Blikk.
During events on 20 June, two men attacked a woman on the streets of Berzék who was in an intoxicated state. They placed foreign objects – stones – inside her body, and filmed the incident.
During the investigation, it emerged that this was not the first attack of this kind. A few months earlier, the same group had already forced the victim to engage in sexual acts. At that time, they blackmailed her by threatening to make her accommodation difficult. The victim was in a defenceless situation and was unable to resist.
Authorities searched the mobile phones of the two main suspects and found pornographic material depicting minors on both phones. Based on this, the charges include child pornography alongside sexual coercion.
According to the court's reasoning, the defendants may abscond, go into hiding, influence witnesses, or destroy evidence. Therefore, they ordered pre-trial detention lasting until 26 July. The decision is not final because several people appealed.
The publication also reports on another earlier case: in May, the prosecutor filed charges against a grandmother who allegedly raped her own granddaughter. The ten-year-old boy lived in a children's home but regularly absconded to go to his grandparents' house.
