On the evening of 10 July, police officers from Zirci took action against a 43-year-old driver resident in Veszprém in a small town in the Bakony region. The man was ordered to leave the vehicle due to his nervous and restless behaviour.
During a search, material suspected of being an illegal substance was found in the man's bag. The roadside rapid test indicated the presence of a synthetic substance.
The Veszprém Police Headquarters opened proceedings against the man on suspicion of possession of an illegal substance and driving whilst intoxicated.
The authority warns that anyone who gets behind the wheel under the influence of alcohol or mind-altering substances poses serious danger to themselves and to all other road users.
