According to reporting from Google News HU — Crime (hu), the Budapest Police Headquarters (BRFK) has launched criminal proceedings regarding mass illnesses that occurred during the DJ show by Sebestyén Balázs. The authority ordered the investigation on Sunday, following the Saturday concert.
According to a BRFK statement issued on Thursday, investigators have so far questioned witnesses, brought people in for sampling, and are analysing seized footage. The statement was published on the police.hu website.
A young person drew attention to the illnesses, reporting on Sunday that his sister was likely drugged without her knowledge at the event. While he waited at the on-site detoxification centre, at least 18 young people were admitted with similar complaints.
A man in his thirties also shared his personal experience with Index. "I didn't drink much alcohol, I remember that one moment I was partying with my friends, then I headed to the toilet. The next thing I remember is lying in a room with a doctor standing next to me," he said.
The investigation is still ongoing, and the BRFK has not released further details about the status of the proceedings.
