Bátonyterenyé drug dealer: sold drug under the alias "smoke" in four cities

According to nool.hu, a 36-year-old man from Bátonyterenyé was arrested by police on 6 May in the early morning hours at a local family home. The operation was carried out under the DELTA Programme by investigators from the Criminal Division of Salgótarján Police Headquarters, with the involvement of the Cserhát Deep Inspection and Public Area Sub-department of Nógrád County Police Headquarters.

László Török, a communications officer at the headquarters, stated that the suspect allegedly sold a substance under the alias "smoke" from early 2024 in Bátonyterenyé, Sóshartyán, Kisterenyé and Salgótarján. He conducted the transactions at pre-arranged locations, but occasionally also sold from his own flat – in the immediate vicinity of which a primary school operates. Experts determined that the seized materials contain N-ethyl-norpentedrone, a controlled drug.

The case has a direct background: patrol officers checked the man in Salgótarján in August last year, when he was present at the scene as a passenger in a car. They found 10 packages of white powder wrapped in aluminium foil in his clothing, which also proved to be a controlled drug. Following the arrest that has now taken place, the authorities questioned him as a suspect, took him into custody, and initiated proceedings for his detention.

nool.hu previously reported on another case: on Saturday, a 38-year-old woman from Nagyoroszi was reported, who also supported herself through drug trafficking. The woman hid the substance in a vitamin box, and was caught while attempting to transport it in her car.
