Drug dealers arrested in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county
Investigators from the county took two men into custody on suspicion of selling prohibited substances. One of the suspects lived in Nyírgyulaj, the other in the neighbouring Nyíribrony.
Police officers surprised the two men on 29 June. The buyer from Nyírgyulaj was heading home when investigators stopped him. Officers found 110 grammes of prohibited substance and several hundred thousand forints in his car, which were seized. The man had purchased the drug shortly before from the seller in Nyíribrony.
Investigators then went to the other suspect's home. The man from Nyíribrony regularly sold prohibited substances to his customers in smaller and larger quantities. During the search, a further 520 grammes of prohibited substance were seized. In addition, approximately one million forints in cash and two valuable motor vehicles were confiscated for the purpose of asset recovery.
Staff from the Jonathan Public Area Support Subunit also took part in the operation. The two men were questioned, taken into custody, and the court ordered their pre-trial detention.
