Investigators from Pest County apprehended a 39-year-old man on 29 September as part of the DELTA Programme, who allegedly offered prohibited substances for sale locally.

Drug dealer taken down in Jászapáti: selling drugs in thousand-forint batches
On the morning of 29 September, staff from the Pest County Police Headquarters, with support from the Tisza MEKTO commando, conducted a raid on a flat in Jászapáti. A 39-year-old suspect was apprehended during the operation carried out as part of the DELTA Programme.
According to investigators, the man offered crack cocaine and methamphetamine for sale to local residents. During purchases, customers acquired the prohibited substances in thousand-forint units.
During the search, investigators found a mobile phone, a small quantity of narcotic drugs, pharmaceutical tablets and a pistol at the scene. These were submitted for expert analysis. Additionally, as part of an asset recovery procedure, approximately half a kilogramme of precious metal jewellery and a luxury watch were also seized.
The suspect was taken to Jászberény police station, where he was questioned on suspicion of drug trafficking. The arrested man was ordered by the court to be held in pre-trial detention.
