Man robs 1,000 forints from 11-year-old boy in Szécsény
A 26-year-old man from Magyargéc is suspected of robbing a schoolboy in Szécsény on the afternoon of 5 June, according to Police.hu.
According to the suspicion, the man approached an 11-year-old boy on the pedestrian street and asked him for money. When the child refused and tried to leave, the perpetrator followed him. He caught up with him, demanded money again, and threatened him: he would beat him if he did not get it. The frightened boy then handed over the 1,000 forints he had with him.
Following the report, Szécsény police quickly identified the suspect. They arrested him and found the stolen note on him. Investigators questioned him on suspicion of robbery, took him into custody, and requested his detention. The court ordered his imprisonment and maintained it throughout the proceedings.
The man had previously had run-ins with the law. Proceedings had been initiated against him for several property offences and drug possession. In some cases, the prosecutor had already brought charges.
The police completed the investigation and forwarded the documentation to the prosecution with an indictment proposal.
