Firearms and ammunition magazines were seized by customs officers at a southern border crossing, where a long-distance bus arriving from Kosovo was inspected. The weapons were concealed inside a subwoofer speaker cabinet.
Staff from the National Tax and Customs Authority became suspicious during package inspection when they X-rayed the speaker using radiographic equipment. After opening the box, several machine guns equipped with collapsible shoulder rests and associated magazines were discovered. The weapons were AK and Zastava manufactured.
Since the owner of the package was not travelling on the vehicle, customs authority staff filed a report against an unknown perpetrator at the county police headquarters on suspicion of firearms misuse.
