Investigators in Borsod county have issued an appeal asking the public for assistance in tracking down the perpetrator of a crime – according to the Police.hu website.
According to police information, on 26 March 2026 in the afternoon, an unknown man made purchases in the city centre of Miskolc, on Mátyás király street, using a means of payment found in the area. The authorities initiated proceedings on suspicion of financial fraud, with the case reference number: 05010/1250/2026.
Security cameras at the scene recorded the perpetrator. Based on this, the police are attempting to identify the person visible in the image. They are asking anyone who recognises the man or can provide any useful details to contact the authorities.
Reports are accepted on the county police headquarters control centre telephone line 06-46/514-506. Another option is to call the free Telefontanú number 06-80-555-111, or the 112 emergency line, which can be called day and night.
