A middle-aged Budapest man physically assaulted a journalist on 7 September 2025 near a political event in Somogy. Police closed the investigation citing breach of the peace.

On 7 September 2025, a middle-aged man from the capital physically attacked a journalist who was attempting to report on a political event in Kötcse. At the scene, he displayed provocative antisocial behaviour before using physical force to push the journalist.
The 52-year-old suspect made no statement during police proceedings. Taking the evidence into account, the investigating authority closed the investigation citing breach of the peace and forwarded the case file to the prosecution with a proposal to bring charges.
