A thirty-two-year-old woman who previously worked as a doctor at the capital's Saint John Hospital has been detained by police on suspicion of murder.

Detectives in the capital have arrested a thirty-two-year-old woman who previously worked as a doctor at Budapest's Saint John Hospital. According to the police, the woman caused the death of another person.

Investigators from the BRFK's homicide department began their investigation based on a report. The suspect was questioned, and subsequently the authorities placed her in detention. The court later ordered her remand in custody.

The healthcare institution signalled in a press release that the person involved in the case is no longer a member of staff. The hospital also stated that due to the interests of the investigation, as well as data protection and patient rights regulations, it cannot provide further information.

The authorities have not yet disclosed who the victim is or the circumstances in which the death occurred. The investigation is currently ongoing.
