The force of the impact caused the Ford to hit the roadside and then a column blocking parking.

The 34-year-old N. Ferenc, believed to be the cause of the accident, was questioned by the Budapest Police Headquarters (BRFK) on suspicion of causing death by driving whilst intoxicated. A drug screening test carried out at the scene showed a positive result. As drug use was suspected in both N. Ferenc and his passenger, samples were taken from both individuals.

Police conducted a scene examination, seized the vehicles involved, and collected and analysed footage from surveillance cameras. N. Ferenc made no statement and did not lodge a complaint against the charge. Investigators took him into custody and requested his arrest.
