Győr man repeatedly evaded police – drug use and driving ban in background
The Győr Police Headquarters has initiated criminal proceedings against a 20-year-old man who, in recent times, has repeatedly attempted to avoid police operations – according to police.hu.
In one instance, the young man abandoned his vehicle and its passenger before police checks even began, then fled on foot. Police subsequently identified him. On another occasion, officers attempted to check his documents, whereupon he ran, but was apprehended within minutes. He then admitted that he had consumed marijuana that day.
During further operations, he showed no cooperation: as a driver, he ignored police signals, and it emerged that he had got behind the wheel without a valid driving licence, whilst under a driving ban.
During a search of his clothing and vehicle, authorities found drug-like substances and consumption equipment. On-site rapid tests showed positive results for multiple drug substances. The circumstances of the case are being investigated with the involvement of experts.
