Police arrested six people on suspicion of drug trafficking in Dunaújváros and the surrounding region, including a married couple from Baracsk.

Seven people were brought in at Dunaújváros Police Headquarters, six of whom were detained on suspicion of selling illegal substances – according to 444.hu.
The investigation began in the summer of 2025, when information arrived that a man was trafficking in illegal substances in Nagyvenyim. During the investigation, it emerged that a couple from Baracsk was also involved in the business. The couple obtained the synthetic substance from a resident of Kulcs.
On Tuesday, police conducted simultaneous operations at multiple locations. During searches, they seized drug-related materials, a substantial sum of cash, jewellery, mobile phones and a car. The money and items are believed to have originated from the criminal enterprise.
According to the suspicion, members of the group regularly sold amphetamine derivatives in the region. Of the detained individuals, one was charged with possession of illegal substances, while the others were charged with trafficking. Police are continuing their investigation into the case.
