The body of a woman was discovered on Tuesday morning in Kecskemét at Kodály Zoltán square, among bushes, the police said. According to Telex, the report was received on 20 October at 10:38 a.m.
During the on-site examination of the body, it emerged that the woman's injuries may have been caused by assault, which was confirmed by autopsy.
Based on CCTV footage, investigators determined that the man and the victim met at 0:22 at night, after which they went on together. According to the police's current information, the parties engaged in sexual contact by mutual agreement, after which the man struck the woman multiple times for unknown reasons and left her among the bushes. The suspect claims that the victim was still conscious and communicating with him at that point.
Kecskemét patrol officers succeeded in identifying the 22-year-old local man, whom investigators located shortly afterwards at one of his known locations. He was questioned on suspicion of assault causing death and then detained. The police initiated proceedings for his arrest.
