The Füzesabony District Prosecutor's Office has brought charges against an armed security guard at a primary school in Poroszló after he violently threw a third-year pupil to the ground last May.

The suspect had been employed by the school since 2021. The offence occurred during a school day when the nine-year-old boy wandered into a classroom from another class during the break – a room he was allowed to enter with teacher's permission. The guard ordered him to leave, and as soon as the child started heading back to his own classroom, he grabbed him from behind and pushed him forward. The pupil fell face-down in the corridor.

The victim ultimately escaped the incident without serious injury.

The prosecutor's office accuses the guard of assaulting the minor during the course of his official duties. According to the criminal indictment, he should be sentenced to a suspended prison sentence on probation, placed under probation supervision, and banned from his profession.
