Kecskemét drug network dismantled: gold bars, luxury cars and several kilograms of narcotics

The Bács-Kiskun County Police Headquarters suspects a Kecskemét man and his wife of organising drug trafficking in the region for nearly two years. During house searches, more than six kilograms of marijuana, hashish, cocaine and gold bars were found.

The Bács-Kiskun county police dismantled a drug trafficking group in the Kecskemét region. According to suspicion, a local man and his wife directed the procurement and distribution of the substance for more than two years.

According to the investigation, the man originally purchased drugs for personal consumption from a person in Síóagárd, but later they agreed to sell the substance to others as well – states Police.hu.

Members of the group distributed narcotics within their circle of acquaintances. A resident of Lajosmizse also joined the operation and invested twenty million forints in purchasing more substances.

Police apprehended the man in the car park of a Kecskemét shopping centre when he took delivery of more than six and a half kilograms of marijuana. Another package, almost seven kilograms, was already seized in a courier service warehouse.

During the searches, additional marijuana, hashish, cocaine and MDMA tablets were found. The confiscated assets included several million forints in cash, watches, gold bars, and two high-value vehicles.

The authority recommends charges against nine individuals.
