A 27-year-old woman stabbed an acquaintance with a knife on Friday following a verbal altercation in Zagyvarékás, according to a statement issued Saturday by the Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok county police headquarters.
The woman caused serious injuries to the man with multiple stab wounds. Police apprehended and brought the suspect in for questioning, then interviewed her on suspicion of the crime of grievous bodily harm.
During the proceedings, it emerged that the suspect had previously been wanted multiple times in connection with theft offences.
The authorities detained the woman and are seeking her remand in custody.
