A 64-year-old woman is suspected of killing two elderly people in Tápiószőlős. According to Pest County Police, the woman became embroiled in arguments with her victims in both cases and then used such force against them that they lost their lives. Investigators also conducted polygraph testing on the suspect – hvg.hu reported, citing police communications.

The first murder was discovered in early June. A local resident made a report because they had been unable to contact an elderly acquaintance for several days. Police officers who arrived at the scene found the body at the woman's home, wrapped in a carpet. The cause of death was determined to be third-party involvement.

The investigation quickly led to the 64-year-old perpetrator, who was well known to residents of the village. The first victim had previously taken her in, but their relationship had deteriorated. During questioning, it emerged that in spring she had moved into the home of another elderly man in the settlement. The man had likewise been reported missing, and police found his body in his house.

Pest County Police Headquarters is conducting proceedings for double murder. The woman is being held in custody, and the prosecutor has requested her remand in detention.
