A 64-year-old woman has been taken into custody, accused of killing two elderly people in Pest county, according to 24.hu.

Based on a decision by the Budakörnyéki Court, Sz. Sz. Hermina was remanded into custody. The woman moved into a 76-year-old man's home as a tenant in spring. In early June, she severely abused the owner, who later died from his injuries. The suspect then wrapped the deceased in a sheet and buried him in the earth beneath the kitchen refrigerator.

The other victim, an 84-year-old woman, knew the alleged perpetrator from earlier. The 64-year-old woman was struggling with housing difficulties and wanted to move in with the elderly lady with her pets. After the pensioner refused, the suspect harboured resentment towards her.

In mid-June, the defendant fatally threatened the victim. A few days later, she beat the woman at her home, then pulled a plastic bag over her head and tied her neck multiple times with a wire. She wrapped the body in a blanket and took it to a storage room.

After the murders, the woman moved into the victims' house and stayed there until the crime came to light on 22 June. The court agreed with the prosecution's request and ordered the suspect to be held in custody.
