A private car was stopped near Bóly on the evening of 13 July by members of the Mecsek commando – according to a report on 24.hu based on a police statement. The vehicle contained a woman and a man who allegedly were transporting prohibited substance from the capital to Baranya county for distribution purposes.
During the investigation, investigators found 353 grammes gross of crystalline substance in the car, which may be classified as a narcotic. Both individuals were brought in, and the woman's screening test returned a positive result. Following their questioning, they were taken into custody, and proceedings were initiated for their imprisonment.
According to information from the portal, one of the arrested individuals holds a municipal mandate in Pécs. The Mohács Police Captain's Office is investigating on suspicion of illegal drug trafficking. The spokesperson for the Pécs Chief Prosecutor's Office told Telex that the police recommendation is on the desk of the Mohács District Prosecutor's Office, from where it will be forwarded to the court. If the prosecutor's office requests remand in custody, the court must decide on Thursday whether to order it for thirty days.
