The Mecsek commando unit stopped a vehicle on 2 July on the outskirts of Pécs, in which nearly 200 grammes of suspected narcotics were found.

Commandos arrest three men on suspicion of drug trafficking near Pécs
Officers from the Mecsek commando unit detained a vehicle on the night of 2 July in the vicinity of Pécs. According to police information, the passengers were transporting banned substances from the capital, which they planned to sell in the Baranya region.
During an inspection of the vehicle, approximately two hundred grammes of white, crystalline substance suspected of being narcotics were found concealed in a fuse box under the passenger seat. Authorities also confiscated more than seven hundred thousand forints in cash from one of the suspects.
The three passengers were brought in and questioning began. The 29-year-old man from Mohács, against whom forty-eight outstanding warrants were previously in force, mostly for administrative violations, was taken into custody. The court ordered his detention.
Alongside the drug trafficker, two accomplices are being treated as suspects: a 38-year-old man from Pécs and a 25-year-old man from Bicsérdi. The Mohács Police Headquarters is conducting an investigation into the matter for the offence of drug trafficking.
