On Wednesday morning, police took into custody István Szakács, a Győr-based Megafon influencer, before releasing him several hours later. According to the man, the authorities suspected him of a terrorist act.

The intervention occurred in the morning: the doorbell rang, and after the door was opened, four police officers from the National Investigation Office, along with three more from the Rapid Response Police, burst in. Szakács was handcuffed and informed that proceedings had been initiated over an earlier Facebook video. According to the authorities, in the footage he urged that if Viktor Orbán were arrested, then "we will bite the prison door and then we will free him". The influencer denies this and defended himself by saying that he only stands by the former prime minister legally, and the whole matter was sparked by a badly pronounced word.

Police also conducted a search at his house, looking for devices suitable for terrorist acts. After that, he was interrogated, detained, and then released. According to Szakács, the investigators told him that in similar cases, nine out of ten result in prison, and they gave examples of children threatening bomb attacks.

Following the incident, Viktor Orbán also responded on social media and announced a protest for 9 July in front of Sándor Palace. Védvonal provided legal assistance to the man, and his lawyer travelled from Budapest to Győr. István Szakács's wife, Orsolya Szakács-Tanító, told Magyar Nemzet that the organisation was very helpful and they consulted every ten minutes.
