Man sentenced to 1.5 years in prison for indecent conduct at Püspökladány railway station
A man engaged in indecent conduct towards a 17-year-old girl in March 2025 at Püspökladány railway station. Püspökladány District Court sentenced him to one and a half years in prison.
One and a half year prison sentence for indecent conduct in Püspökladány
Püspökladány District Court sentenced a man to 1 year 6 months imprisonment, to be served immediately, after he engaged in indecent conduct towards a minor girl in the waiting room of the local railway station, the spokesman for Debrecen Court of Appeal told MTI. According to Index, the sentence is final.
Based on a statement by spokesman Dénes Dobó, the offence took place on 9 March 2025 in the afternoon: the defendant observed a 17-year-old girl sitting on a bench at Püspökladány railway station and masturbated in front of her. The victim notified the duty officer, who first contacted a colleague and then called the police. Officers apprehended the man at the station.
The court prohibited the defendant – who is a repeat offender – from any occupation or activity through which he could come into educational, supervisory, care or other positions of authority over persons under eighteen years of age. He is not eligible for conditional release.
The man gave a confession.
