A drunken man dragged his former partner by the hair up the stairwell to the roof of a ten-storey building on a residential estate in Miskolc, then attempted to throw her down from there, according to a report by RTL Híradó.
Residents of the building gave eyewitness testimony to the television channel. According to their account, the woman was successfully brought back into the flat. The neighbours said the man had previously abused his girlfriend on several occasions, which was why she had left him. Multiple cases are proceeding against the assailant, as he has also harassed former partners.
The police initiated proceedings for attempted murder, and the court ordered the man's pre-trial detention.
