According to the Central Investigation Prosecutor's Office, eleven people have already been questioned as suspects in connection with the Szőlő Street reform school in Budapest, with four of them in detention. The allegations include sexual offences against minors.

According to information from the Central Investigation Prosecutor's Office, eleven people have already been questioned as suspects in the case concerning the Szőlő Street reform school in Budapest – as reported by 444.hu. Four of them are currently in pre-trial detention.
Among the detained are the institution's former director, a supervisor, an educator and a custodian. The court decided in spring to extend the detention of these four individuals.
At the start of the investigation, there was knowledge of only nine suspects. The prosecutor's office informed the public at the end of last year that a tenth person had been questioned.
According to the prosecution's position, sexual violence was committed against minors at the young people's residence. The chief prosecutor acknowledged at the start of the year that fifteen victims had been identified so far.
One minor victim openly criticised in April that Bence Tuzson – who previously headed the justice ministry – returned to parliament. The politician argued at the end of 2025 that there were no minor victims in the case, which contradicts the results of the investigation. Although Tuzson lost his individual electoral district in April, his party secured him a mandate from its national list.
According to prosecution data, less than two weeks ago, the custodian kicked a young person in the stomach.
