A juvenile driver drove off despite a signal to stop, then continued speeding with a flat tyre in Székesfehérvár. The pursuit ended with two police officers injured.

A seventeen-year-old youth fled from police in Székesfehérvár and eventually drove head-on into a patrol car. Two uniformed officers were injured in the accident, but the driver was nevertheless apprehended – according to reporting by Telex citing police information.
During the incident that occurred on 12 July, the youth continued driving despite a signal ordering him to stop. He subsequently sped through the city streets at high velocity whilst breaching multiple traffic regulations. He disregarded signs indicating obligation to yield right of way, drove onto a lane designated for cyclists, and did not stop even when one of his tyres became unusable.
The flight ended on Szeder Street. There the Honda collided head-on with a police car, striking its left side. As a result of the impact, the patrol car was pushed into a parked vehicle. The two police officers sustained injuries; nevertheless they continued with the intervention and apprehended the fleeing driver. The driver and his sixteen-year-old passenger were also injured, and all three required hospital treatment.
During the investigation, it emerged that the seventeen-year-old had never held a driving licence and had previously been banned from driving a vehicle. When the Honda was inspected, authorities seized items used for drug consumption and a crystalline substance wrapped in aluminium foil that was suspected to be drugs.
Criminal proceedings were initiated against the juvenile. The authorities are also reviewing recordings from surveillance cameras and have requested an expert opinion on the seized substances.
