In the case concerning Ukrainian money transporters, Lóránt Horváth, acting on behalf of the defendants, has requested that the authorities detain and remand in custody Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and three other men involved.
Defence lawyer seeks detention for prime minister and three other men
According to a submission obtained by 24.hu, Lóránt Horváth, representing the Ukrainian money transporters, has requested that the authorities place four men in custody and then remand them in detention. Those involved are: Viktor Orbán, János Hajdú, Örs Farkas and Tamás Demeter.
According to the defence lawyer's position, the suspects committed unlawful imprisonment on seven occasions under particularly heinous circumstances, coupled with the torture of the victims. For these acts, a combined prison sentence of more than a decade could be imposed.
