On 29 June in the morning, a woman was robbed whilst on a train on the Bács-Kiskun county section – announced the county police headquarters, which Infostart reported on.
The victim fell asleep on the train. Two strangers seized this moment: they took her electronic device and cosmetics bag, then departed.
The report was received by the local police station. Investigators got to work immediately, gathering the available information. Using images from security cameras, they traced the direction in which the suspected perpetrators had gone. It turned out they had travelled to a neighbouring settlement by public transport. There, with the help of local patrol officers, they managed to identify them.
Police quickly took into custody a twenty-three-year-old man and a twenty-eight-year-old woman. Both were questioned as suspects on charges of robbery. Among the seized items, they found the victim's property, so the tablet and cosmetic items were returned to their rightful owner.
The Bács-Kiskun county authorities are continuing their investigation into the case.
