In the northern outskirts of Milan, police discovered a drugs cache with 190 kg of hashish hidden in refrigerators. Two men have been arrested.

An anti-drugs operation by Milan's Mobile Brigade led to the seizure of a substantial quantity of narcotics in the town of Cesate, located north of the Lombard capital. In total, 190 kilograms of hashish and 870 grams of cocaine were recovered.
The news was reported by G4Media, which cited reports from Corriere della Sera. According to these sources, the substance was concealed inside two food preservation appliances located in a garage box.
The operation was launched following surveillance activities conducted by officers from the anti-drugs section on Via Manzoni. The officers noticed a 38-year-old Romanian citizen moving cautiously near his vehicle, with the rear door raised. The man then removed two canvas bags and transferred them to another car, which had just arrived and was being driven by a 24-year-old Italian national.
The police officers decided to intervene on the spot, stopping the two suspects. During the search, 50 packets of hashish weighing approximately 30 kilograms were found in the bags.
The subsequent search moved to the garage adjoining the Romanian's apartment, where the bulk of the consignment was located: a further 160 kilograms of the same substance, stored inside the same refrigerators used as a hiding place. Additionally, white powder was found, later identified as cocaine.
The two detainees were taken into custody on suspicion of illegal possession of drugs intended for sale. Investigations are continuing to map connections with other drug trafficking cells operating in the Milan hinterland.
