48-year-old arrested in Catania: hid crack, cocaine and marijuana in apartment kitchen
Catania State Police have arrested a 48-year-old man for possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing. In the home in the San Cristoforo neighbourhood, over 110 grammes of drugs were seized, including crack, cocaine and marijuana.

In the San Cristoforo neighbourhood of Catania, officers from the Mobile Squad placed handcuffs on a 48-year-old local man, accused of accumulating drugs to resell. The investigation had started from reports concerning a building that was being used as a warehouse to supply drug dealers in the area.
Once the officers entered the apartment, they discovered on the kitchen table a package containing illegal substances of various kinds: just under 25 grammes of crack, approximately 35 grammes of cocaine and over 50 grammes of marijuana. The material was already prepared for sale, divided into doses and sealed in small heat-sealed bags.
In addition, two digital scales were found with residues of narcotics still clearly visible.
Following notification to the judicial authorities, the suspect was placed under arrest. Subsequently he was transferred to his home, not far from the location of the seizure, where he was placed under house arrest.
