Stabbing at reception centre in Bolzano: 31-year-old Moroccan charged
A 31-year-old Moroccan asylum seeker wounded a fellow countryman with a knife at a reception centre in Bolzano. The attacker was charged with aggravated assault and threats.

Google News IT — Crime (it) reports that during the night the State Police intervened on via Gobetti, in Bolzano, at a reception centre, following a dispute between two Moroccan citizens.
The 118 emergency services personnel alerted the Operations Centre, having already received a report: one of the two men had allegedly wounded the other with a knife. Both were residents of the facility and asylum seekers.
Upon the officers' arrival, the attacker showed signs of considerable agitation and attempted to leave in order to evade checks. The officers immediately restrained him and, given the report regarding the possible presence of a weapon, proceeded with a personal search, which proved negative.
Meanwhile, other officers located the victim nearby and provided assistance pending the arrival of medical personnel. On the basis of witness statements collected and evidence obtained, the police officers were able to reconstruct the sequence of events and seize the knife used in the attack.
The attacker, a 31-year-old Moroccan citizen, was taken to Police Headquarters and referred to the Judicial Authority for aggravated assault and threats. The victim was diagnosed with a wound from a cutting weapon with a prognosis of 15 days.
