Knife attack in Milan: 22-year-old Gambian stabs 55-year-old man
A 55-year-old man was attacked with a knife by a 22-year-old from Gambia whilst having breakfast in a bar in Milan. The attacker, who has been arrested, allegedly stated: "I enjoyed it, as soon as I get out I'll do it again".

A 55-year-old man was attacked with a knife by a 22-year-old from Gambia whilst having breakfast in a bar in Milan on Saturday morning. The victim was struck approximately twenty times to the head, neck, chest and abdomen with a 21-centimetre weapon.
According to reports from in.gr, the attacker was wearing a black wig and did not speak any words before striking the victim from behind. After his arrest, the young man allegedly stated: "I enjoyed it. As soon as I get out, I'll do it again".
The victim is hospitalised at Niguarda hospital in serious but stable condition. Doctors performed several surgical operations and the prognosis does not present long-term risk. The wounds to the abdomen and chest were not particularly deep.
The Milan prosecutor has requested validation of the arrest for attempted murder, arguing that the man represents a flight and recidivism risk. According to the prosecution, the attacker had planned to kill the first easily reachable person, wearing a disguise and armed with a knife with a sharp blade.
Northern League leader Matteo Salvini commented on the incident on social networks: "Shocking words. He enjoyed it and would do it again? So he should never leave prison!"
