The Faenza State Police have executed a precautionary detention order against a 52-year-old man accused of assault and injury to his ex-partner.

As reported by Google News IT — Crime (it), staff from the Faenza State Police Commissariat executed, on the morning of yesterday, a precautionary detention order in prison issued by the Judge for Preliminary Investigations at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Ravenna Court.
The order concerns a 52-year-old man, Italian citizen, under investigation for assault and aggravated personal injury against his ex-partner.
The man has a police record and had previously been convicted of assault against his ex-wife. In the days preceding his arrest, the Preventive Measures Section of the Bologna Court — on the proposal of the Ravenna Prefect — had applied provisional emergency Special Surveillance to him pursuant to article 9 paragraph 2 of Legislative Decree 159/2011, the so-called anti-mafia code, with a prohibition on approaching the woman and the places she regularly frequents.
Upon completion of operations, the 52-year-old was transferred to Ravenna Remand Prison.
