Drug dealer arrested in Faenza park
State Police officers stopped, on the afternoon of 22 June, a 26-year-old man originally from Senegal who was dealing drugs inside Mita Park in Faenza. The action was announced by the Ravenna Police Headquarters on the State Police portal.
Officers from the patrol unit were patrolling the area when they noticed suspicious behaviour. Upon approaching, they recognised an individual previously flagged for drug trafficking. A search resulted in the discovery of nearly 20 grammes of hashish and sixteen ecstasy tablets, ready for sale.
Security cameras installed in the park captured the exchange, providing investigators with further evidence to justify the restrictive measure. The 26-year-old was taken into custody on charges of possession and unlawful drug dealing.
In the same context, a Pakistani man was reported and released: he allegedly lied to the officers to obstruct their work, behaviour that could be configured as personal harbouring.
