Pharmacy robber arrested in Milan
According to ilgiorno.it, a 35-year-old with a criminal record was arrested under a cautionary detention order issued by the Milan investigating judge for two pharmacy robberies. The investigation by the Mecenate Police Station linked the man to both incidents through video surveillance analysis and witness statements.
The first robbery occurred on 3 August at a pharmacy on Corso di Porta Romana. The man threatened the pharmacist with a screwdriver and ordered her to open the till, from which he took 200 euros. Three days later, on 5 August, he attempted a robbery at a pharmacy on Via del Liri, but the manager, understanding his intentions, blocked the door opening system. The man fled, abandoning a screwdriver and a t-shirt he had used to cover a tattoo.
Police officers arrested him shortly afterwards following witness directions. Surveillance cameras confirmed he was the same man in both cases.
