A man was arrested in Belvedere Marittimo, in the Cosenza area, after being caught with a quantity of drugs intended for sale. The operation was conducted on 13 July 2026 by officers from the Mobile Squad of Cosenza and the Diamante Police Station, engaged in territory control activities along the high Tyrrhenian coast.
The activity was carried out in collaboration with the Public Prosecutor's Office of Paola, headed by Domenico Fiordalisi. During the raid, officers searched the individual, his vehicle and his home. The result: approximately two hundred grams of hashish, a precision scales and three 12-calibre rifle cartridges, all items placed under seizure.
The on-duty public prosecutor was informed, and the suspect was taken to his home and placed under house arrest. The case file is still in its early stages: the measures adopted are based on what has been gathered so far and will need to be confirmed or otherwise during court proceedings, to guarantee the right to defence.
