Drug dealer arrested in Cava de' Tirreni: nearly 23 kilograms of hashish seized
The State Police arrested a man in Cava de' Tirreni on suspicion of drug possession with intent to supply. During the search, over 22 kg of hashish, 300 grammes of marijuana and approximately 62,000 euros in cash were seized.

In the coastal town of Cava de' Tirreni, in the province of Salerno, law enforcement has ended the activities of a suspected dealer. The operation took place on 19 June, in the context of a broader action against illegal drug trafficking in the area.
The raid was carried out by officers from the Public Security Police Headquarters in the area, assisted by a police dog unit sent from the Naples Police Headquarters. Police officers broke into the residence where the suspect was hiding. When he came face to face with the officers, the arrested man resisted physically and attempted to flee, but was immediately neutralised.
Inside the flat, a veritable drug storage depot was uncovered. Officials seized nearly 23 kilograms of hashish, divided into numerous blocks ready to be placed on the market, as well as approximately three hundred grammes of marijuana. Nor was the equipment of the trade lacking: electronic scales for precise weighing, knives and packaging materials.
But that was not all. In the same residence, investigators found a considerable sum, approximately 62,000 euros in banknotes, which will be analysed to establish whether it represents the proceeds of illegal sales. Among the other seized items stands out a cartridge for a military weapon.
The search was then extended to other buildings connected to the investigation, where additional material was recovered that could provide further evidence to the magistrates.
After completing the required procedures, the detainee was transferred to a prison, pending the judge's decisions.
