The State Police suspended the licence of a bar in Andora for 10 days after a group of young men assaulted a boy by hitting him with a street sign.

According to Google News IT — Crime (it), the Prefect ordered the suspension for ten days of the licence of a bar situated on the seafront of Andora, a measure notified by the Carabinieri of Andora Station in the course of yesterday.
The measure originates from an assault that occurred several days ago: during an evening, a group of young men struck a boy on the head with a street sign used as a blunt object, causing him injuries serious enough to require hospitalisation.
The investigation by Andora Station Carabinieri Command and the subsequent testimonies collected highlighted shortcomings in the management of the situation by the bar's staff. According to the findings, the staff failed to contact the law enforcement authorities promptly despite the concrete risk of further escalation of events.
Subsequent inspections also revealed irregularities in the management of internal security at the venue. The Carabinieri established the presence of personnel assigned to security control — the so-called "bouncers" — lacking the requirements and authorisations provided for by current regulations for the carrying out of such activity.
On the basis of these elements, the Prefect issued the suspension decree pursuant to Article 100 of the Consolidated Text of Public Security Laws (T.U.L.P.S.). The measure has exclusively preventive aims and is intended to protect security and public order, independently of any finding of potential criminal or administrative responsibility on the part of the managers.
The measure forms part of the intensification of inspections initiated by the State Police, with the support of other law enforcement authorities, on places of youth congregation and on the most frequently visited public establishments, with particular attention to the phenomenon of so-called "bad nightlife". The surveillance activity continues in the territory, with renewed attention during the summer season.
