Bologna, Tunisian teenager arrested in Bolognina: 1.5 kg of hashish seized
Police at the Bolognina Police Post arrested a seventeen-year-old Tunisian on Tuesday, 7 July for dealing. Fourteen blocks of hashish and cocaine were found in his rucksack.

The Bologna Police Headquarters — as reported by Google News IT — Crime (it) — announced the arrest of a Tunisian citizen born in 2007, stopped on the afternoon of Tuesday, 7 July by officers from the Bolognina Police Post for possession with intent to supply controlled substances.
The officers were on routine patrol duty near Via Carlo Cignani when they noticed the young man suddenly change direction and quicken his pace at the sight of the police car. The suspicious behaviour prompted the officers to conduct a search.
In the boy's rucksack, 14 blocks of hashish were found with a total weight of approximately 1.5 kg and a package containing approximately 1 gramme of cocaine. The material was seized together with the subject's mobile telephone. The young man was arrested and subjected to direct trial proceedings on the morning of Wednesday, 8 July.
The operation is part of activity launched since February last year, when the new Police Post in Bolognina made patrols dedicated specifically to that area operational. The Bologna Police Headquarters reports that since then there has been a decline in episodes of petty crime in the area and an increase in the perception of safety among residents.
The Bolognina neighbourhood is indicated by the Police Headquarters as one of the most sensitive points in the city in terms of security. The post ensures prompt intervention, direct contact with residents, and constant monitoring of areas considered most critical.
The Questore of Bologna personally congratulated the officers for the arrest and for the overall activity carried out by the Police Post since its opening.
