Two arrests for breach of restraining order

According to questure.poliziadistato.it, over the past two days the State Police carried out two arrests in Bolzano against two men who had violated the precautionary measures prohibiting them from approaching their former partners.

In the first intervention, on the evening of 29 September, officers from the Flying Squad responded near a public establishment following a report from the Operations Centre. An Italian citizen, equipped with an electronic bracelet, had approached the residence of his former partner; police officers identified him outside the restaurant, in front of the woman's home. After being taken to police headquarters and the violation of the precautionary measure being ascertained, the man was arrested and placed at the disposal of the Judicial Authority.

The second incident occurred on the evening of 30 September. Officers from the Flying Squad responded to a building after a resident reported a violent argument. Inside the apartment, police officers identified an Italian citizen with a police record, subject to a restraining order against approaching his former partner. The man was arguing with the woman, thereby violating the precautionary measure in force. He was arrested in flagrante delicto for non-compliance with the restraining order and taken to police headquarters.
