Bordighera, prosecutors on Beatrice case: "Grandparents knew about bruises and remained silent"
In the death of the two-year-old girl, prosecutors accuse the maternal grandparents of omertà. The bruises on the child's body, if reported, could have saved her.

La Repubblica reports the words of the public prosecutor in the case of Beatrice, the two-year-old girl who died in Bordighera: the maternal grandparents allegedly remained silent despite visible marks on their granddaughter's body.
According to the prosecution, the grandparents "downplayed the severity of the bruises", whilst the older sisters had shown a far more lucid awareness of the situation. The prosecutor emphasises that those bruises, if properly reported, "might have saved the life" of the child.
