Electronic bracelet tampered with: man reported in Ancona
An individual under electronic surveillance damaged the remote control monitoring bracelet, triggering an alert at the operations centre of the Ancona Questura. The incident occurred this morning.
Upon notification from the system, the Operations Room dispatched two Mobile Squad patrols to locate the subject and verify the condition of the device. Officers located the man in a short time whilst he was walking in the street in the indicated area.
During the check, officers established that the bracelet had been altered, violating the conditions of the precautionary measure. The subject was taken to the Questura for the necessary procedures and subsequently reported in a state of liberty for criminal damage.
In parallel, procedures were initiated to restore surveillance: a specialist technician installed a new electronic device on the individual's wrist.
